Monthly MSHP meetings feature high quality, timely presentations that can be used for continuing education credits. MSHP is an approved provider of continuing education credits for Maryland licensure requirements. Selected programs are ACPE approved.
Professional Forum - Membership in MSHP offers an excellent opportunity to network with peers throughout Maryland, discuss topics of mutual interest and compare your services to those of your colleagues. BCPS Exam Blog- Attention all MSHP members taking the BCPS exam in October! Check out the newly created blogspot (http://bcpsstudyblog.blogspot.com/ ) that was envisioned specifically to aid our members in preparing for the big exam. At this blogspot, those who are looking to create or join a study group can post their names and contact information in the "looking for group" section. And already formed study groups can use the blog as a "discussion board" to help in your learning! At the blogspot, study guides can be shared and questions can be posted and answered on difficult topics or clinical controversies. Legislative Action - Working through its Legislative Committee, MSHP represents your views in the state legislature and in the development of regulations that affect your practice.
Public Relations and Community Service - MSHP promotes and educates the public about pharmacists’ roles within the community. Our members participate as volunteer pharmacists at the Maryland State Fair, Flower Mart and at free health clinics in Baltimore City.
Seminars - Two all day seminars are offered throughout the year that provide a well coordinated mix of lectures, workshops, and social events. Continuing education credit (ACPE Approved) is offered.
Peer Recognition - The MSHP's Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding professional achievement in several categories. Nominations are sought from the entire membership.

Support - The Pharmacist Rehabilitation Committee was formed to provide assistance to the chemically impaired pharmacist. The purpose of the committee is to intervene and take appropriate action so that the impaired pharmacist can have a chance to treat the dependency as an illness and save his/her career, and improve mental and physical well being. The committee monitors and provides proper referral for rehabilitation. The committee educates pharmacists and other health professionals and family members about the disease of chemical dependency and the recovery process.
